Cream Cheese Sausage Balls
Ingredients:
– 1 pound breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 2 cups all-purpose baking mix (like Bisquick)
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
– 1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:
– Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Mix Ingredients:
– In a large mixing bowl, combine the breakfast sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, baking mix, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix until well combined. You may find it easier to use your hands to mix everything together.

3. Form the Balls:
– Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each ball.

4. Bake:
– Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.

5. Serve:
– Allow the sausage balls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm, and feel free to serve with your favorite dipping sauces!
