Spicy Cajun Salmon & Shrimp Delight
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets
12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (divided)
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth (or seafood stock)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp lemon juice
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Season & cook the salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear salmon fillets for 4–5 minutes per side, until cooked through and golden. Remove and set aside.
2. Cook the shrimp
In the same skillet, add the shrimp, season with 1 tsp Cajun seasoning, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Remove and set aside with the salmon.
3. Make the Cajun cream sauce
Lower heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 30 seconds.
Add remaining Cajun seasoning, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir well.
Simmer for 3–4 minutes, then stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Add lemon juice, taste, and adjust seasoning if needed.
4. Combine & serve
Return salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and let simmer for 1–2 minutes.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
