Crispy Old Bay Shrimp

Ingredients:

2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tbsp olive oil

1 ½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup cornstarch

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Lemon wedges, for serving


Instructions:

1. Pat shrimp dry and toss with olive oil + 1 tbsp Old Bay.


2. Set up dredging: flour in one bowl, eggs in another, and panko mixed with cornstarch + ½ tbsp Old Bay in a third.


3. Coat each shrimp in flour, dip in egg, then press into panko mixture.


4. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry shrimp in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.


5. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with lemon wedges and dipping sauce.
