Pepperoni Pizza Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup pizza sauce (or marinara)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni, chopped

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt & black pepper, to taste

4 hamburger buns

Instructions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened (about 4 minutes).

2. Add the ground beef and garlic. Cook until beef is browned and no longer pink, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.

3. Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, chopped pepperoni, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5–7 minutes to thicken.

4. While the meat mixture simmers, lightly toast the buns.

5. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto each bun, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and cover with the top bun.

6. For an extra cheesy touch, pop the assembled sandwiches under the broiler for 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts.

7. Serve hot and enjoy β€” it’s like biting into a pizza burger!
