Steak & Shrimp Kabobs

Ingredients

1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into 1-inch cubes

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces (any color)

1 red onion, cut into chunks

1 zucchini, sliced into thick rounds (optional)

3 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for spice)

Salt & pepper, to taste

Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

1. Prepare the marinade

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.

2. Marinate the steak & shrimp

Place steak cubes in one bowl and shrimp in another.

Divide the marinade, pouring half over the steak and half over the shrimp.

Let steak marinate for 30–45 minutes; shrimp only needs 15 minutes (to prevent over-marination).

3. Assemble the kabobs

Thread steak, shrimp, bell pepper, onion, and zucchini alternately onto skewers.

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes first to prevent burning.

4. Grill or broil

Preheat grill (or oven broiler) to medium-high heat.

Cook kabobs for 2–3 minutes per side until shrimp is pink and steak is at your desired doneness.

5. Serve

Garnish with fresh parsley or a squeeze of lemon juice.

Pairs perfectly with rice, grilled corn, or a fresh salad.
