Vanilla Butter Cake



Ingredients:

2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened

4 large eggs

1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).

Cream the butter and sugar together until very light and fluffy. This helps create a soft texture.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the milk. Mix just until combined. Do not overmix.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and level the top.

Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

This cake is soft, buttery, and flavorful with a fine crumb—perfect on its own or served with fruit, whipped cream, or icing sugar.
